Mission Statement

The ultimate goal of DR Discount is to provide meaningful employment to anyone who is sincerely looking for work.

Building a business that continues to grow by providing quality goods and services to consumers and to other businesses
Providing training and assisting in obtaining education for those who are not qualified for meaningful employment
Obtaining funding through regular business practices as well as other sources such as donations, subsidies, grants, sponsorship, and etcetera for the purpose of providing income for workers whose skills are not sufficient to earn enough to meet their needs until they have received enough training
Encourage and promote individuals who are attempting to earn an income through crafts and arts of all types
Provide recording and video graphing facilities for those pursuing music or other performing arts
Provide art and craft lessons for those desiring to refine their artistic skills
Provide retail and wholesale outlets for all artists and crafters who want to sell their goods
Find individuals to serve on a board of directors for the purpose of setting up a charity and soliciting funds through donations from individuals and businesses for the purpose of furthering our goals
Start and association of individuals who feel it is important to provide individuals with meaningful employment. The association would include supporting members who would pay an annual membership fee in exchange for benefits such as receiving a newsletter and purchasing goods and services at a discount, as well as participating members who would volunteer time in lieu of payment of annual membership fees

Definition:

Meaningful employment is interpreted as meaning employment where the employee can feel that he or she is providing a valuable service to society. It should be something that fits the interests and abilities of the employee and causes him or her to feel fulfilled.
DR Discount supports a new philosophy where jobs are shaped and moulded to fit the needs and desires of the employee instead of the present trend to shape and mould the employee to fit the job. Our belief is that a successful business depends on happy and satisfied employees who love their jobs and will do what is necessary to promote the company they work for.
